Titanic Gateway: Titanic II

A New Titanic to Be Built...
Titanic II
...construction begins September of 2000!

APRIL 6, 1998, SACRAMENTO, CA USA:

Selected European and American business have elected to construct a second version of the ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic beginning in September of 2000. In a cooperative effort, an estimated 600 Million Dollars will be spent to erect an exact replica of the beastly vessle in a hope to bring in over 785 Million dollars in revenue via Trans-Atlantic travel in the year 2002 alone. Airlines fear that in 2004 the faires may be comparable to air travel, making the new Titanic the new way to start your European vacation. Creators are expecting the third class ticket price of $7,500, and a first class ticket ranging from $22,000 and up.

In an effort to comfort the curious travelers, the ship will be cleverly outfitted with the highest-technology-available navigational safety system in existence (Ice Burg Right Ahead!). In addition, further safety precautions will be made; enough lifeboats, enhanced personal security, and top notch iron construction.

Unlike the original Titanic, holders of the second class and lower tickets will be able to tour the Grande Ballroom and dining rooms. The executive luxury suite alone is to be valued at $450,000. The maiden voyage is set for April of 2002, and travel accomidations will be in the make by mid-2001. A TV ad campaign will run for 4 months straight prior to the maiden voyage itself. The filmed event is expected to be the most-watched television event ever; with an expected audience of over 56% the Earth's population.
